1) Competitors sail entirely at their own risk. Dublin Bay Sailing Club its race officers, committee and organizers shall not be liable in the event of any claim for accident or mishap.
2) It is the sole responsibility of each helmsman/owner to decide whether to sail or not in every case.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

For the year 2002 season each class has to decide what are its appropriate safety regulations/ safety equipment rules and deposit them together with a compliance/inspection procedure with the DBSC Hon. Secretary before races are provided for the class. Completion of this form is confirmation of entrant’s undertaking to conform to the relevant class regulations when they have been formulated and accepted

FEES & SUBSCRIPTIONS
The entry fee for each boat is based on the crew number appropriate to the class in which it competes. It includes the annual subscription of those nominated on the form. Members whose membership is not linked to any specific boat may pay the annual subscription of €62 separately. Where the member is aged 70 or over, the annual subscription for those paying separately is €13. Also included is the Boat Entry fee - €45 for Cruisers 1 & 2, €32 for other keelboats, €23 for dinghies, €105 for 1720s.

The above fees are inclusive of charges for Olympic racing- viz  €230 for Dragons and J24's, and €57 for Glens and Ruffians. €55 for dinghies, Flying 15s & Mermaids. Two-handed dinghies sailed by members under 25 on the 1st. January,  €140single-handed dinghies, €109.

CRUISER CLASS INFORMATION

Boats intending to race under IRC must submit a copy of their 2001 certificate to the Hon.Secretary prior to racing. No record will be made until after receipt of the certificate. Any change in handicaps must be advised to the Hon.Secretry in writing as soon as possible. Boats intending to race under ECHO must possess a valid 2001certificate. ECHO handicaps will be advised independently to DBSC by the relevant authority. Boats in cruiser classes will be divided as follows on the basis of their ISA Standard ECHO Reference Handicap/IRC Handicap (subject to the Committee’s right to allocate a boat to any class):

CRUISERS 1 -Boats at 0.971 and above
CRUISERS 2 -Boats from 0.901 to 0.970
CRUISERS 3 -Boats from 0.835 to 0.900
CRUISERS 4 -Boats at 0.834 and below

In the 2001 season the Committee may allow boats under the same ownership and configuration as in 1999 and affected by the year 2000 breakpoints to participate in the same class as in 1999. This option must be taken up before the 2001 season commences.
