Bank of Scotland(Ireland) Challenge 2002

General Information- Provisional as at 1st. January 2002

Race Office
A race office will be open in the National  Yacht Club on Friday evening from 1900 to 2000 hrs.and on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 0900 hrs.until completion of any protest hearing. On Saturday morning boats which have not received a copy of the sailing instructions should call at the Race Office.

Temporary Membership
Owners and crews of visiting yachts competing in the event will become temporary members of Dublin Bay Sailing Club and the National Yacht Club. The Clubs reserve the right to withdraw such temporary membership.

Mooring and parking
Berthing situation to be advised later. The Club will not accept any liability for any claims of any nature arising from the use of such berths or moorings

The Flag Officers and Committee of Dublin Bay Sailing Club gratefully acknowledge the invaluable assistance of the National  Yacht Club and the other waterfront clubs, the authorities of Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Dublin Port as well as the owners of flagships and all who helped with the event.

1. Tides: Low water Dublin Bar:
Saturday: 07 04hrs. Ht .0.79mts.
Sunday: 07 06 hrs Ht. 0 78 mts

High Water Dublin Bar :

Saturday: 13 40hrs. Ht. 3.79 mts.

Sunday: 14 08 hrs Ht. 3.77 mts.

2. Protests are scheduled to be heard in the National  Yacht Club on Saturday and Sunday nights as soon as possible after racing (See separate sailing instruction below)

3. Prize-giving will be held in the National Yacht Club on Sunday night as soon as possible after any protest hearing.

Radio Communication

Individual and General Recalls and also postponements may be signaled on Channel 72. Competitors are asked not to use this channel except in the event of emergency or retirement. The Committee will not acknowledge or answer any other communication.
