Mullanny Grave stones in the Cemetery of Church of Ireland Cathedral

Cloyne County Cork

No.1 The stone is an obelisk on a foursided pedestal with a cup on top.

 

                                            Top facing West

 This stone has two halves which have four faces

 

 

 

 

The burial place of

Joseph Mullanny who died March 10th. 1801

aged 91 years

His wife Mary died February 11th. 1812

aged 96 years

and their family

In them were happily blended all those

qualities of head and heart which adore

humanity and makes life esteemable,

ever should their memory be cherished

by their friends.

John Mullanny

died June [3rd.1812] [Aged 62 years]

His wife[---itay] October[-] 1833 aged 85 years May they rest in peace

Top facing South

Michael Mullanny died Oct 17th. 1837

aged 54 years

His wife Johanna May 30th. 1831 aged 36 years

No.2 Stone to the right of previous one looking West

 David Mullanny of Cloyne died October 4th. 1802 aged 42

also his five children interned here

His son John departed this life

May 11th. 1832 aged 34 years

His wife Mary Mullanny alias Dalton

Dept. this life 6th. April 1847 aged 84 years

His son Nicholas died June 7th. 1854

aged 66 years

Pray for the repose of the souls of

David Mullanny Riordan who died 27th. day of December 1894

And of his wife Anne who died 7th. day of June 1895

and of their five sons, Nicholas, Patrick, John, Maurice

Christopher R.I.P.

No.3 Stone to left of no.1 looking West  No.4 Stone directly East of no. 1 and recumbent

Erected by Joseph Mullanny for his daughter

Mary Mullanny died 8th.March 1766

aged 22 years.

O God be merciful to her.

Erected to the memory of John Mullanny

of Cloyne

who died the 5th.June 1812 aged 62 years

No.5 Stone on perimiter behind church on the right

Erected by David Riordan in memory of his

beloved daughter Mary died June 13th. 1891

aged 17 years.

His father in law John Mullanny died Jan 1867

aged 61 years

His mother in law Margaret Mullanny died 1863

aged 60 years.

The aboved named David died Oct. 4th.1912 aged 67

His wife Margaret died Nov.28 1923 aged 72 R.I.P.

 

No.6 Stone close to previous no.5

Erected by Michael Mullaney Cork

in loving memory of his father Joseph

died Jan. 12th. 1900

And his mother Mary died Dec.9th. 1915 R.I.P.
