We must emphasize the word "yellow".
It's very easy to make butter. The problem is that children are not very impressed with butter that's not yellow. Personally, I find it hard to blame them. Here's how to give your butter a nice rich colour.
Grate the carrots into a clean teatowel. Hold the teatowel over the jar so that the bit with the grated carrots is just inside the jar. Pour some milk onto the carrots and squeeze the towel so that the milk runs through the carrots into the jar. The milk should have turned orange.
Pour the cream slowly into the jar. Put the cover on tight. If you are using a coffee jar, you may need to seal it with a bit of plastic under the cover.
Turn the jar over and back- until you get tired of doing it. Then pass it on to someone else. Let the cream fall from end to end. We had butter after about half an hour. This butter is not safe to eat as it has not been made with sterilized equipment. Let us know how you got on.

Blowing up Balloons |
When vinegar and baking soda are combined they produce a gas called Carbon Dioxide.
1. Put about 3 teaspoons of baking soda into a plastic 250ml bottle. Add some vinegar until the bottle is nearly half full.
2. Quickly stretch a balloon over the top of the bottle. Shake the bottle and watch the balloon inflate.
