Details: 8'x4' x¼" Marine Ply Board treated with Shellac Sanding Sealer and painted White. Framed portion of the chosen photograph (Pre-digital) has been scaled up from 1" to 1'. The photograph has been scratched at 1" intervals across and down to make a visible grid. The board has been divided up the same way using pencil at 1' intervals. The photograph is transferred to the board using freehand, outline pencil drawing and guided by the 1" and 1' grid. Underpainting is done using an Acrylic wash. Painting is then (attempted) beginning with the backround, this has only just started in these photographs. Time permitting the painting will re-commence and the work will progress.
