I
have a wide range of interests. It is always hard to summarise, but I will
try.
I would consider myself a fan of most forms of popular culture. I am a member of the Irish Film Institute and an occasional concert goer. I am an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction. I have a deep respect for George Orwell, Bob Dylan and the Coen Brothers.
I have developed a deep interest in European culture and history. I have travelled throughout Europe, visiting out of the way places such as Sarajevo and Belarus. I am particularly interested in the post-communist countries of Central Europe. I have a lasting regard for Prague.
I am into sports. I play left midfield for Blackrock Football Club in the Leinster Senior League. In my time I have played Gaelic Football, Rugby and Badminton to varying levels of competitiveness. I am an avid fan of most sports, and a regular visitor to Croke Park and Lansdowne Road.
I am also concerned with what have been called development issues, the more negative sides of globalisation. If you are not sure what this means allow me to direct you to maketradefair.com and nologo.org. It might get you thinking.
