Des Dalton believes that it is time for a real change on Athy Town Council, it is time that the people of Athy had their voice heard.

The people of Athy need to have their views on the future development of their town listened to, not just at election time but all of the time.

Des Dalton believes in real local democracy, involving all of the community in the decisions which affect our lives and the life of our town.

• Des Dalton is a National Vice President of Republican Sinn Fein, the first Kildare man to hold this position since the 1920s.
  
  
• Chairman of Comhairle Cuige Laighean (Leinster Executive) Republican Sinn Fein.
  
  
• Assistant Shop Steward SIPTU, in which role he helped raise funds for the 'Peerless' workers during their long struggle for justice.
