Rufus Harley from Philadelphia,
U.S.A. - billed as the 'world's only jazz bagpiper' - came to Cork for
the Guinness Jazz Festival in 1990. A visit to meet Pipe Band members
was arranged and he dropped down to the band room on the Sunday morning.
He is pictured here 'jamming' with long serving band member, William Cogan. The diversity of styles however, proved to be too great an obstacle to the production of an harmonious duet! |
