Father Michael O'Brien, then Parish Priest of Carrigaline, cuts the first sod on the site of the new senior citizens day care centre at the town's Mount Rivers Estate in 1991.  
A determined fundraising campaign by the local senior citizens voluntary committee ensured that the centre was up and running the following year.
