Barnahely Castle at Loughbeg. The site of this castle is located 500 meters on the Carrigaline side of Ringaskiddy and adjacent to Barnahely Cemetery. The castle may have been built as part of the defensive network by Richard deCogan.
It is unlikely that anything remains of the original structure but a later building erected about the 15th or 16th century still stands and is part of the more modern mansion, known as Castle Warren which was erected by the Warren family in 1796.
