RESULTS FOR Summer Series 2009

E & D 2009

Tralee Bay Sailing Club retained the E&D trophy for 2009. Conditions were very rough with just 10 of the 40 competitors completing all races. Dingle Sailing Club was represented by Aideen McConville,Robin Pollard, the McCanns, Ni Dhomhnaills, Lis O Connor and Aidan Carroll. Robin finished an impressive 4th overall with other members doing very well in the visiting clubs catorgory. Special thanks to Ian McGowan and team of TBSC who organised and ran the event so well.

 

Inniscarra Commodore's Cup 2009

Cumann Badóirí Naomh Bhréanainn an Daingean accepted the invitation to attend this year's Inniscarra Commodore Cup. The event was held on All-Ireland Sunday under summer like conditions in an ideallic location. The event comprised of kayak races in the morning followed by dinghy races in the afternoon.

Dingle Sailing Club was represented by Aideen, Robin, Aidan and the McGruaircs(who are also members of Inniscarra but we'll claim them!)

Congratulations to Seamus McGruairc who won 1st place in the kayak race. To Jane Gruairc and crew who scooped two awards in their RS Feva. Robin Pollard finished 3rd overall while light winds favoured Aidan in his Optimist to win the Commodore Cup Prepetual Trophy on behalf of the Club. Special thanks to the Inniscarra Kayak and Sailing Club Committee for hosting such a well run event.
