The new Music Technology Centre at Dundalk IT is being designed as a state-of-the art environment dedicated to teaching, learning, and research in Music Technology.
Comprising fully equipped and networked computer music labs, music technology units, a recording studio, and a
sonic arts performance space it will be fully operational from 2004.
Courses
and activities supported by the Centre include a 4-year BA (Honours) in Applied Music
(with a specialism in Music Technology ), a 16-month
MA/MSc in Music Technology,
and postgraduate research. In addition, the Music
Technology Centre will be home to the Centre for Technology in Music
Education and will support the work of the Music Technology Group.
