Paul Hession
Paul is the fastest man in Irish sprint history and is
the current Irish record holder from 60 metres to 200
metres.
Now aged 25, the Athenry, Co. Galway flyer has stalled
his medical studies in order to concentrate on the
Beijing Olympic Games.
A silver medalist at the World University Games in
2003, he is a powerful prospect for Beijing being the
first Irishman ever to reach a sprints final at a major
championships.
Paul was selected as Ireland’s track athlete of
the year for 2007.
