Ladies Footballers win Intermediate Championship

Our ladies footballers had a great victory over Moylough to claim the Meath Intermediate Championship in Ratoath on Sunday 14^th August. It was a great performance and the two late goals did not allow the score board to reflect how much better we were that Moylough. They now take on Ballylinam of Laois in the first round of the Leinster Championship on the 17th September at 4pm. All support would be welcome.

Junior Footballer’s Bridge 34-Year Gap

Our junior footballers ended a 34-year drought by claiming the Meath Junior C Football Championship in great style in Pairc Tailteann on Aug 28^th last. This was a great all round display where we beat St Colmcille’s by 3- 13 to 0-09. Goals by Vinny Carton within 15 seconds and another goal from Leon Tormey a minute later set the platform for the victory. Paul Finglas accepted the cup on behalf of the team and club and gave a great speech. There were great celebrations on the Sunday night. (See Football page for detailed report).
