Donegal Town drew their fifth Derry League match at home to CYMS. Winners on the night were Oliver Plunkett who defeated Chris Gibbons two nil and Michael Neary who drew 1-1 with Aidan Devanney. Paul Thomas lost two nil to ex-County Champion Phelim McClafferty.

The two pool tables have been recovered and the pockets have been improved. The upcoming Inter-firms competition will thus be played on superb surfaces which should raise the standard.

The new 8 by 4 table has proved very popular with all the members and some older members have been spotted trying to master it. The balls are the same as on the full-size table so it's an excellent way to practise and gain control of the cue ball.

The two Christmas Hampers are under way and into the next round already are former winner James McAllister, Tom Plunkett, Kieran Temple and Aidi Wilson who managed to outwit the in-form Terry Mullin over three tight frames.

The juniors have been slow to play their matches and "The Coin" may have to be taken out of storage to keep the tournament on schedule.
