Leaders Northwest A remain on course to secure yet another title after a convincing 3-1 win in Ballybofey. Joe Devine (with the aid of a 49 break), Gerry McCloskey, and Gerry McKeever didn't drop a frame but Jack McGranaghan avoided a whitewash by edging past Bernard McGuinness two one in the clash of the night.

In a key top-of-the-table clash, Donegal battled to a 2-2 draw away to second-placed CYMS in the Donegal League. Michael Neary's good form continued with a great comeback against young Anthony Duffy. Trailing by 28 with three reds left in the final frame, Michael potted and snookered his way to a respotted black and kept his nerve to win a fine match. Oliver Plunkett was up against Player of the Year leader Chris Gibbons who potted fluently in the deciding frame to edge home. Terry Mullin met an in-form Paddy McGroarty who compiled a 31 break en route to a two-nil win. Tom Plunkett ensured a draw for Donegal by coming from behind to beat old rival Phelim McClafferty two one.

Killea are closing rapidly on Donegal Town in the race for third and a four-nil win over Twin Towns B helped their cause considerably. Robert brown, Jimmy Wray and Brian Woodrow all won two nil while Shane Grant was made to battle by Marcus Devlin before triumphing.

Convoy A covet that third spot also and they secured a fine three one home win over Ramelton B. Willie Breen, Justin Lynch and Darren Ponsonby did the damage with Peter Friel replying for the visitors with a good two one win over John Lynch.

Northwest B are a Jekyll and Hyde team and one never knows what to expect from them, hence their lowly position in the league. Against Convoy B they were at their mercurial best, whitewashing the visitors. Paul Doherty, Johnny Connors and John Doherty were all two nil winners while Michael O'Hara came through a tough match with Paul Lynch on a two one scoreline.
