Week five of the County Donegal Snooker League saw wins for Donegal Town, North West A, CYMS and Twin Towns B, while Killea and North West B fought out a two all draw.

Leaders CYMS were in top form at home to Ramelton A. Phelim McClafferty had stylish breaks of 46 and 30 in his first frame en route to a two nil victory over Chris Murray, while Chris Gibbons kept up his perfect record with a two nil win that included a break of 38 in his second frame. Anthony Duffy got back to winning ways but Paddy McGroarty suffered a rare defeat against the dangerous Mark Friel.

Twin Towns B won their second league match in Ramelton against the B team. Winners on the night were Christopher McGee, Michael Chambers and Mark Doherty. Francis Murray pulled one back for Ramelton but it was to no avail.

North West A went to Convoy for the second week running and returned with a good four nil result against the B side. Gerard McCloskey maintained his 100% record with a two nil win, while Gerry McKeever won his fourth match in succession. Bernard McGuinness defeated Paul Lynch two nil and Joe Devine completed the route with a two one victory over Andrew Doherty.

Killea are struggling to take all three points from their matches and they once again drew where a win was required away to North West B. Robert Brown won his fifth match in succession and Brian Woodrow backed him up by winning two nil. The home side though are are no mugs and have two outstanding teenagers in their ranks. Newly crowned Connacht Under 16 champion Johnny Connors won two nil and the lad he defeated in the final Michael O'Hara earned a draw for North West by winning two one.

Finally, Donegal Town completed a dismal week for Convoy by winning four nil against the A side in Donegal. Oliver Plunkett was unstoppable while Paul Thomas responded brilliantly to recent doubts over his form by defeating Convoy captain Darren Ponsonby in a nail-biting encounter. The ageless Michael Neary is as potent a force as ever but Tom Plunkett's poor form continued despite an excruciating win over an out of sorts John Lynch.
