Week seven of the Lyric County Donegal Snooker League saw wins for Donegal Town, North West A, and Convoy B while the other two matches ended all square.

Convoy B demonstrated their snooker capabilities with a fine three one win over Twin Towns A. Paul Lynch defeated Simon Connolly 2-0, Gavin Toner defeated Jack McGranaghan by the same score and Chris Devenney completed the job with a two one win over the previous week's star performer Jason Brown. Martin Walsh was Twin Towns sole winner beating Andy Doherty two one.

North West B and Ramelton B fought out a two-all draw in Letterkenny. The Ramelton men were seeking their first points of the season and they battled magnificently for the one they got. Johnny Connors and Michael O'Hara won for the home team but Peter Friel and Vincent Murray dug out two one wins to share the spoils.

The Ramelton A side also drew at home to Convoy A. Mark Friel and Philip Friel did the business for Ramelton but in-form Willie Breen and veteran Darren Ponsonby brought the sides level. The two Convoys lie fourth and fifth in the table which is a credit to them both.

The North West A team was more successful in Killea. Always a tough venue in which to pick up wins, they had to be on top form in order to prevail. The victorious Letterkenny men were Gerry McKeever, Bernard McGuinness and Joe Devine. The result leaves the Letterkenny men on top of the table on match difference over CYMS. Both have perfect win records and the head-to-head meeting is eagerly anticipated.

Donegal Town defeated Twin Towns B four nil in Ballybofey with the two nil wins coming from Michael Neary, Tom and Oliver Plunkett and Terry Mullin. The hospitality afterwards shows what the league is all about. Donegal stay third, two points behind the leaders.
