Week 8 of the Lyric Snooker League saw CYMS and North West A stretch away at the top while Killea jumped six places to fourth.

Leaders North West A won four nil at home to bottom club Ramelton B, the winners being Bernard McGuinness, Gerry McCloskey, Joe Devine and Gerry McKeever.

CYMS had a tough assignment in Convoy but once again they underlined their credentials with a three one win. The victors on the night were Phelim McClafferty, Chris Gibbons and Anthony Duffy. Justin Lynch was Convoy's sole winner.

Result of the round was in Ballybofey where Killea smashed four past Twin Towns A. The result lifted the gloom which was threatening to undermine Killea's season and they are right back in the Top Four reckoning. The winners were Robert Brown, Shane Grant, Gerard Lennon and Brian Woodrow.

North West B did their A team a big favour by holding Donegal to a draw. Tom and Oliver Plunkett maintained their 100% records in putting the home team two up but Michael O'Hara and Irish Under-14 Runner-up Johnny Connors won the last two matches to square the match. Despite not yet losing a game, Donegal now find themselves four points off the lead.

The final match saw Ramelton B and Twin Towns B draw in Ramelton. Chris Murray and Mark Friel did the business for the home team with Marcus Devlin (32 break) and Michael Chambers replying for the Finn-siders.
