One player who only stayed a brief period in the club was Niall Keenan and in many people's eyes he was the all-round player. His break building was second to none and his break of 104 against Tom Plunkett in 1997 was the first century in the club. He won tournaments in Convoy, Mullingar, Ballina and elsewhere while in the club and he was one of the few senior players whom juniors would come into the senior section just to watch.
