DONEGAL SNOOKER LEAGUE

2000-2001 SEASON

The Player of the Year award will be given to the player who wins most games during the regular season. In case of a tie, the player with the biggest difference between frames won and lost will be adjudged the winner. If this does not produce a winner, the trophy will be shared.

The top two players over the league campaign will qualify for the County team that competes in the Irish Inter-County Championships. In the case of ties, the same elimination procedure as for the Player of the Year will apply. If there is still a tie between two or more players for a spot on the team, they will have to play off. The Committee will fix the date and the format of the play-off.

The other four places on the County team will be decided as follows:

1. The County Champion for Season 1999-2000

ie. Anthony Bonnar.

2. The Donegal player with the highest national senior ranking on April 1st, 2001 or on the date of the Inter-Counties, whichever date falls first. If the player is already selected, the next highest ranked player will earn the spot.

3. The Donegal player with the highest national intermediate ranking on April 1st, 2001 or on the date of the Inter-Counties, whichever date falls first. If the player is already selected, the next highest ranked player will earn the spot.

4. A player to be selected by the Committee as a wild-card.

If qualifying players decide not to compete, the Committee will select others to replace them.
