LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

BUS SERVICE IN FRANKFIELD

Dear Editor,
I would like to see something done about the bus service to Frankfield. I know you have probably received a load of letters about this, but another year has gone and the children are back to school, and still nothing has been done. Frankfield is a growing area and parents would be afraid to let their children walk up that busy road in the early mornings. Please could you contact Bus Eireann, as I have so many times, but no reply.
It was my first time reading Douglas Weekly and I was very pleased. It gave a great read, especially the true story, and seeing familiar faces.
Thanking You.

HALFWAY TO PARADISE

Let the strains of Beautiful City and Red is the Rose ring out o’er the Banks of the Lee. Rebels Top Cats at Croker. 28 titles and counting.
Were Barry Murphy’s Colts youngest squad to strike All-Ireland gold? A new generation of Leesiders will experience the unforgettable sight of McCarthy Cup rounding Paddy Barry’s corner to the delight of a Red Sea of humanity stretching to Munster arcade, now Penny’s on Patrick Street. Resulting Euphoria will carry the big ball Reds across the finishing line to another double. Bring on the King’s men, the Rebels are ready!

Neil O’Donoghue,
Douglas

THANK YOU DOUGLAS WEEKLY

Dear Michael,
Our Church in Douglas has re-opened for masses at the weekend, and thanks to Douglas Weekly, I can walk up the footpath from my house without twisting or breaking my leg! “Well done!” Douglas Weekly.

Thank You,
