INFORMATION REQUEST
Hi,
I am looking for information about adult art classes in the area.
I noticed in one of the newsletters a mention of Ashton Artists
and evening classes. I am trying to organise for somebody in the
Douglas area to go to art classes in the new year and I am based
in Dublin, so any information you have on any group that provide
classes would be great.

ST. JOHNS WORT
Dear Editor,
I would like to voice my concern at the Governments proposal to
require St. Johns Wort to be sold through a pharmacy, and under
prescription. This ill-judged attempt is the thin end of the
wedge and an attempt by the Irish Medicines Board to gain control
of a lucrative Health conscious market.
Food supplements and herbs have been on sale in Ireland for over
twenty years. The authorities have suddenly embarked on a
campaign to have them considered as medicines. If this goes ahead
it would deny consumers the right to purchase these products at
an affordable price.
We need to ensure that our Government supports consumer rights
and freedom of choice in Healthcare. If implemented everyday food
supplements like Garlic, Evening Primrose, Fish Oils or Vitamin C
should well disappear from the marketplace.
I urge all your interested readers readers to contact their local
T.D.s and M.E.P.s to voice their concern and to sign the
petition available in all Health Care sops.
Penelope Hughes, Rochestown.
Many thanks,
Liam Spriggs.
