My family left there in 1848. It is so good to see my roots on the internet - each time I look at your photo section my heart gets homesick for the soil of Douglas.
For those of us, who's heart is still longing for the old country - thanks for your great work.

'CEDILLA' - Who?

Hi Editor,

I would like to say Congratulations to Douglas Weekly for being, once again, ahead of the posse! I advertise in local and National newspapers and only Douglas Weekly uses the 'cedilla' i.e. ~ which is a part of most Internet homepage addresses. Having spent a 'small fortune' on my homepage, it is disappointing when advertising, especially nationally, to find that these newspaper offices are not equipped with the technology to be able to include a person's homepage address.

Because Douglas Weekly prints my correct homepage, this not only increases my business but also gives me the opportunity to reach out and help bring health and healing, through Spiritual Healing and the many therapies that I practice, to the people of Douglas and beyond. Thank you Michael and Ronnie. Keep up the good work!
