CLOSE THE ALLEYWAYS

As a resident in Pinecroft Estate, Grange, Douglas, myself and the majority of the residents signed petitions drawn up by the Residents Association for the closure of the three Alleyways in Pinecroft Estate.
As yet, the Co. Council has made no decisions to the closure of these eyesores. I wish the Co. Council and the Councillors would come down now to see the filthy, dirty conditions of these Alleyways at the moment.
During a walk last week I passed through the Alleyway in the Pinecroft Shopping Centre and was shocked and disgusted by the filth and dirt there. I think it must be the dirtiest place in Cork. How can the Shop Owners and Litter Wardens ignore the situation? I wonder do the parents of the teenagers and children who frequent these places realise that their health is at risk. I certainly won't be using this Alleyway again.
I would like to encourage the Co. Council and Local Councillors to close all three of the Alleyways in Pinecroft Estate as soon as possible, for the welfare of our Estate.

DOUGLAS SWIMMING POOL

DOUGLAS SWIMMING POOL MUST NOT CLOSE .
I think Douglas swimming pool must not close , because MY BROTHERS AND SISTER AND MY SELF were taught to swim there , as were so many other people in the Douglas area , My school S.T COLUMBA'S G.N.S does not want it to close. DOUGLAS NEEDS THE POOL! KEEP THE POOL OPEN!!!
