Local man Paddy Barry, pictured here with his wife Noreen, was recently presented with a "Melvin Jones Award" at the local Lions club Annual dinner at the Rochestown Park Hotel. The Melvin Jones Award is the highest award to be presented internationally to any Lions member who distinguishes himself in his local community. Paddy has been taking care of the needs of the elderly residents at Lions House for the past number of years beyond the call of duty. Well done Paddy.
