Fota on Ice

On 1st December 2003 all the children from first to sixth classes travelled to Fota on Ice. There was great excitement as most of the children had never been ice skating before. We arrived at approximately 10 am and the temperature outside was almost as low as it was inside. The children spent about twenty minutes preparing and it was all systems go as everybody piled into the ice-rink. There were many falls but no major injuries and all were happy as they piled back on to the bus and we set off for Mc Donalds in Douglas before our trip home.

La le Padraig

We were invited to a concert by the Philadelphia Woodland Band on Tuesday 16th March. The venue was the Briery Gap Theatre in Macroom. The stage was a riot of colour as the band are known for their colourful and elaborate costumes. Audience participation was encouraged and both teachers and pupils had to take part in the shows much to the teachers embarassment. On St.Patricks Day a group from several classes took part in the parade with recycling as their theme. Other pupils took part in other groups such as the West Muskerry Athletic Club, the Scouts and O'Sullivan School of Irish Dancing.
