Danijela who I work with makes a delicious cake whose main ingredient comes from this plant, the serbian Rogac plant, in English it's the Carob or Lotus Bean plant.

Animals will be seen on the earth who will always be fighting amongst themselves with the greatest damage and frequent deaths on each side. There will be no limit to their malignity; we shall see great areas of trees in the wideforests throughout the universe felled by their proud limbs, and when they are satiated with food, the nourishment oF their desires will be to deal death and grief and toil and wars and fury to every living thing. And through their undaunted pride they will desire to ascend towards heaven, but the excessive weight of their limbs will keep them below. Nothing will remain on the earth or under the earth and water that will not be persecuted, relocated or ruined, and those of one country expelled to another. And their bodies will become the tombs and conduits for the already dead bodies of living things. 0 earth, why do you not open, and throw them into the steep fissures of thy great abysses and caverns, and display no more to heaven such cruel and hateful monsters.

As well as the friendly neighbourhood cat there were these two characters, meet the craziest dog in Serbia, Elizabeth or Beta for short and Lady D, no language barriers to worry about here (little Lady D is shown below and big Beta is shown to the right)

Katarina Ivanovic (1817-1882) Self-portrait Katarina was, historically, the first educated female painter in Serbian art.
