Chat Room Instructions.

N.B. Read Chat Room Rules at the bottom of this page.

• Firstly Print this page.
• Open the link Dunmore Chat Room on our Homepage.
• You will see the following :-

• Enter your username (in the format of 'SchoolNS') and then click on JOIN.
• You will then enter the chat room and see the following:

• We can see in the top right only DunmoreCS is in this chatroom. Messages will be displayed in the main window. You type your message in the <Enter Text Here> window.

• I have typed 'This is a test.....' and am ready to send the message to the Chat Window. This is done by pressing RETURN on the keyboard.

• The message is now posted in the chat window. All Users listed in the Top right will be able to read and reply to this message. For the moment, I suggest we do not use any of the buttons on the right.

Now have a go yourself, you could email another school and ask them to log on and join so you could practice sending messages in the chat room.

CHAT ROOM RULES.

Students MUST NOT be allowed to access chatrooms without parent/teacher supervision. Use of first names are sufficient. Never disclose your address or any personal information to anyone in a chat room. The person you think you are talking to may not be who they say they are.
