"All through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse" until Jack went racing down the stairs. "Santa is here", he whispered, remembering that Mum & Dad had warned him to stay in bed. He heard a knock at the window and ran to see who was there. He saw a plump red figure standing at the window. "Hey, little boy I forgot my magic dust to get me down the chimney. Will you let me in?", asked the man.
Jack stared at the man in the window. 'Will you hurry up , I have presents to give,' said Santa crossly. Jack ran to the door and let him in. 'What are you looking for, Santa?' whispered Jack. Santa explained that so many people leave out food that he gains weight.
'Can I see Rudolph and the other reindeer , Santa? Are they outside?' Asked Jack excitedly. 'No they are on the roof. I... I don't have my magic dust so we can't go and see them' replied Santa. 'If we find your magic dust then can I go and see them?' Jack said hopefully. 'Yes, but it will be cold out, so go and get your jacket' answered Santa slyly. Santa knowing this was his chance quickly walked over to the mantel piece. He then put the presents under the Christmas tree and slowly tip-toed over to the table and took some of the Christmas cake. He then tried to make a get away but Jack caught Santa when he was going out.
"Where are you going Santa ? "I...I...I got my magic dust and I thought that I would go up on the roof. It is a cold night and you had better get your cap & scarf" When Jack came back Santa was gone. Then Jack went down to the tree, he opened one of the presents. Then he heard his mother and father behind him.
"Where did you get that", asked father. "Santa brought them", answered Jack. "That is our t.v. that was stolen three weeks ago", shouted Mother. As Dad took the t.v. from the box, to check if it was really theirs a note fell on the floor. Jack picked it up.
"sorry I took all of these items.
I want to change my old ways,
so I thought I'd start now,
Please forgive me.
P.S. Sorry I had to disguise myself as Santa to get into your house."
