  • Kilcock has been nominated in the AIMS 'Best Show' category.  Results will be announced in mid June.
     
  • Evelyn Donnelly will hold a dance workshop on Thursday 19th January in Scoil Dara Kilcock at 8pm

    The workshop is open to everyone and the dances taught during the workshop will form the basis of
    the d
    ance auditions for our forthcoming musical Carousel

    These dance auditions will be held on Sunday 22nd January in St. Josephs Hall at 3pm.

    The following parts will also be auditioned:
    - Snow children (ages range from 5 to 17 - both boys and girls)
    - Louise
     
  • KMDS will stage the world renowned 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' (Dale Wasserman, adapted from the novel by Ken Kesey) from 13-15 October 2005 with a preview on 12th October 2005 (please note new dates).

    An American-Indian, whom the authorities believe is deaf and dumb, tells the story of a mental institution ruled by Big Nurse on behalf of the all-powerful Combine. Into this terrifying world comes McMurphy, a brawling gambling man, who wages total war on behalf of his cowed fellow inmates. What follows is at once hilarious and heroic, tragic and ultimately liberating.

    Auditions will be held on Wednesday 3rd August 2005 in St. Josephs Hall, Kilcock at 8pm

  • KMDS wishes to announce their production team for Panto 2006.

    2006 sees Carol's return to Panto after a number of very successful years in the directors chair for KMDS plays. 

    This will be Helen's second year as MD and Melissa returns as Choreographer for her third Panto. 

    No doubt another successful production is in the pipeline for KMDS.

  • "CONGRATULATIONS & WELL DONE" , TO ROGER & DONAGH !

    Most of you may all know at this stage, but just in case, "Me and My Friend", was a huge success at the All Ireland Final last weekend in Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim.

    Kilcock M&D Society were awarded 2nd place overall in the confined section, which really is a credit to the hard work and dedication of the cast and crew who participated.

    Well done & thanks to Carol Ryan as Director, Una Ryan/Jackie Cusack & Ciaran Cullen (lights) and Bernie Byrne (costumes).

  • One-Act Festival Drama: Presenting 'Me and my friend', directed by Carol Ryan, and featuring Roger Mullarkey as Bunny and Donagh Noone as Oz.

    Preview Show: Wednesday 3rd November at 8pm in St Josephs Hall, Kilcock, please come along and support this practice run prior to the travelling festival.

  • AIMS Weekend 2004 - Just a gentle reminder that the deposit of €150 is due on Monday 23rd Feb.

  • Good Luck to all involved in our Panto - Sleeping Beauty - which opens tonight in St. Joseph's Hall and runs until Sunday.
  • Auditions for this years musical Pirates of Penzance will be held on Tuesday January 20th in the School in Kilcock - starting at 7pm.

  • Bookings are now being taken for our performance of Sweeney Todd in the Waterford Festival of Light Opera. 
    The performance date is Tuesday, September 30th at 8pm.
    Prices: Stalls €22, Dress Circle €18, Upper Circle €7. 
    We would advise NOT booking tickets for the Upper Circle as the view here is EXTREMELY restricted.
    The closing date for bookings AND MONEY is Friday July 25th 2003. Any bookings received after this date will NOT receive tickets as this is the theatre's cut off date.

  • What a weekend we have had!! At the awards banquet on Saturday 14th of June, Kilcock picked up SIX AIMS awards, including the prestigious Best Overall Show award, for our production of Sweeney Todd.
    What a huge achievement for a small society like ours. Massive congratulations to all who were involved in the show in whatever capacity - we are all winners! YAHOOOOO!

  • Kilcock has gathered no less than 8 nominations in the AIMS Awards this year!!! What a great bonus to a great year!

  • We are having a meeting to discuss the trip to Waterford next Wednesday 14th April at 8pm in St. Joseph's Hall.

  • Exciting News!!! No Rest for the Wicked it seems! Kilcock have been accepted to bring Sweeney Todd to the Waterford International Festival of Light Opera. The performance date is Tuesday September 30th. More details to follow!

  • Well, Sweeney Todd has finished it's run and what a success it was! A huge congratulations to everyone involved in what was a really fantastic show. Rest now my friends!

    We won the Adjudicator's Special Award and the Best Director award.
    We also came runner-up in the Best Actress and Best Technical categories.

  • Our play, 'One for the Road', finished it's very successful run on Saturday Nov 10th. It was very well received by the large crowds that attended and a great laugh was had by all. Congratulations to the cast and production team for a great production!

  • It was a great few days but all good things come to an end. Cinderella played to packed houses and was a great success and great fun. Well done to all who were involved.
