Clare Community Forum

Clare Community Forum is a county wide group consisting of representatives from ALL interested community groups in the county. The 25 members of the forum are drawn from the area based community and voluntary networks from accross the county ( Noth, South, East Clare Shannon and Ennis areas )

The Clare Community Forum will facilitate feedback to the County Development Board from the representatives of the community and voluntary groups from accross the County.

Over time and with the support of various agencies, the Forum has the potential to develop a representative structure which can agree and articulate the common views of the many and diverse community and voluntary organisations active within the County

The Forum will

• Contribute to the policy development of the Clare County Development Board through its various structures.

• Help to identify and agree county-wide issues and proposals, and develop intergrated responses to the particular needs of the sector in the county.

• Develop an effective network to enable the community /voluntary sector to meet and articulate common concerns.
• Develop proposals for the enhanced participation of the sector in varios development initiatives.

The Forum has nominated representatives onto:

• County Development Board (2 representatives).
• Stragic Policy Commities of Clare County Council.
