Accelerated Drain Cleaning Continue Sponsorship of Sunday Morning Soccer |

Edenderry
Town SFC would like to acknowledge a sponsorship cheque from John, Maria and
Orla Foley, and Accelerated Drain Cleaning. This money will be used to
develop further what is known locally as Sunday Morning Soccer. This section
of the club has grown beyond belief over the last few years. We introduced a
Colts section, now in its third season, which has become not only popular,
but also very successful. It is only when you see players from the Colts
section progress to the Under 8 section that the progress of the young
players can be seen. Gone are the days of giving out cheap medals to players
in Sunday morning soccer. There are four tournaments run throughout the
season; the Anniversary Tournament, which celebrates the formation of
Edenderry Town F.C., way back in 1926, and three memorial tournaments -the
Ollie Morgan, Joe Browne and Jamie Quinn. |

Club Chairman, Martin Doyle, said: "I would
like to thank John, Maria and Orla Foley for their generous sponsorship. I
can assure them that their money will be spent wisely, and will benefit over
400 young boys and girls in the North Offaly/West Kildare Region. It is
always a pleasure to meet John and his family, and I would like to take the
opportunity to wish them continued success."

Club Treasurer, Sandra Reynolds, said:
"Money was never as needed badly in the club. This cheque will certainly
ease the pressure on the club's much pressed finances." Ned Dunne, the
club finance promotion officer, said it was a pleasure doing business with
John Foley. Again, Ned wished John and his family all the best and thanked
them warmly. He continued as follows: "As a result of this sponsorship,
we can now even improve on last year's trophies, handed out to players in
Sunday morning soccer." Ned also pointed out that Accelerated Drain
Cleaning are also sponsoring a race at the club's Race Night, to be held in
Mullingar greyhound race track on Friday, December 2nd. |
