Meet Liam O'Neachtain --:

lon2.gif (24529 bytes)Liam joined the staff of Edmund Rice Primary School in 1976 and is currently teaching a Special Class. He was born in Dublin in 1952 and grew up in Waterford City. He is married to Grainne, who is also a teacher and has two grown up sons. His eldest son, Ronan is currently in Melbourne Australia and Killian is studying in The University of Limerick.

He has a keen interest in sport, DIY, gardening, philately and computers.After school he likes nothing better than to get in to his old clothes and potter around the garden. He also enjoys a stroll along the beautiful beach here in Tramore.

He has been the driving force behind the schools much successes in the IT field over the past number of years, his classes having won three national Internet based competitions. He was appointed an IT tutor by the INTO/NCTE in 1998 and has delivered many courses to teachers on the use of "Information Technology". He was also a guest presenter at an International Teachers Conference in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada on the use of IT in Irish classrooms.
