Edmund Rice Primary School

We finish school at three o’clock. When the bell goes we grab our coats and line up at the door. I get my bike and head out the gate. I keep a lock on my bike in case it gets robbed. I cycle home on my own, dodging cars as I go.I cycle like a mad man, and do not take much notice of road signs.

I kick my bag under the stairs. I then take off my jacket and throw it in after the bag. I then turn and go out again. I go down the road to Alec Walsh’s house to collect my nephew, Eoghan and then I go back to my house. Mammy is usually back from work by this time. Than l go to Alec’ house again and me and Alec will go to the football pitch. We play soccer. I do not play on a local team, but i like knocking the ball around with the lads.

We sometimes get into scrap with lads from the Heights. I come in about 20 to five, then I have to go off working with my father. He is a plasterer. We work for about two or three hours every night , doing nixers. I have to mix the plaster for him. It is very messy. I get all my clothes covered with plaster. I like working with my father. I would like to be a plasterer when I grow up.

I get about twenty pounds from him at weekends. I buy CD’s with it. I have about 30 CD’s. My favourite band is Oasis. My favourite song is "Be here now". I do not watch videos. I keep my money in the Credit Union. My father puts it in for me. At weekends I go down to my cousins house. I sometimes go in to Waterford to see Waterford United Football Club. I go with my sister’s boyfriend. His name is Sean. He pays for me to get in. I watch soccer on the TV. My favourite clubs are Arsenal and Wimbledon football clubs. They are English Premier Division clubs.

She works in the kitchen of the hotel. I like burgers and chips. I have no jobs to do at home, like some of the other lads. I have four sisters so I do not do any housework. I just get up from my place and go and watch telly. I usually to to work with my father. We come home at about nine o’clock. We have to take off our dirty clothes at the back door. We then have to head for the shower, as we are very dirty. I go to bed at about eleven o’clock.I share a room with my brother Kevin. We have football posters on the wall.
