Day 13~Dear Diary --: On May 25th. I was delighted to be going home with Liam Flaherty’s house. Liam is a nice chap and lives down near the beach. Liam walks home from school. As it was raining I was inside in my little box that I came in from Newfoundland. Liam had the lid down as it was raining and he didn’t want me to get wet, but I kept sticking my little head out, as I wanted to see what was going on. Liam kept shutting the lid down and telling me that I would get wet if I kept sticking my head out in the rain. I told him that I didn’t mind getting wet. He said that he couldn’t mind me If I got sick, so I was to do what I was told and stick in my head or I could stay in my box all evening. When we got home Liam went and changed into his play clothes and out of his school uniform. Once he forgot to change his uniform and he went playing football and he got them all mucky. His mother and his teacher were not very happy with him.

After a little snack and a little drink we had a little chat for a while. We then went playing with the putting machine. We had lots of fun. I never used a putting machine before. I used my special hurley, which Adam made me and I got a lot of the balls into the hole. Liam thought I was very good. I won the game. Then Liam’s sister came in from school. She picked me up and said I was lovely. Her friends thought I was lovely as well. We then went down to help Liam’s Mum. She has just opened an Italian Restaurant in Tramore. It is the first Italian restaurant ever in the town. We helped his Mum get the place set up for the night. We were kept very busy. We had to check that all the stuff was on the tables like, knives, forks, small plates, salt and pepper and wine glasses.

We then put lovely napkins, candles and a menu on each table. The place looked lovely when we were finished. I had never down work like this before but I really liked it. We all worked well together. Liam’s Mum was very busy in the kitchen getting the food ready. There were lovely smells in the kitchen. When we had all our work done we sat down for dinner. Liam’s sister was the waitress. She gave us the menu and asked us what we would like. We both ordered pizza. I ordered a house special and so did Liam. This had everything you could think of on it. I asked could I have a glass of house wine but Liam’s Mum said that water would do me fine. It was the nicest pizza I ever tasted. It really was delicious. We then asked for some ice cream. This was also delicious. I thanked Liam’s Mum and sister for going to all that trouble for me. They said that it was not every day that they had the pleasure of serving a moose from Newfoundland, in their restaurant in Tramore. Liam now had to do his homework. He did it very fast. I was falling asleep beside him.

We then went to bed in Liam’s room. During the night I got this terrible dig from Liam. “Stop, snoring, will you” he said over and over again. “I’m not snoring” I told him “You are so, you are keeping me awake”. “Go over on your tummy, or else you will have to sleep in the shed” he said. I did not want that so I went asleep on my tummy. We got up early the next morning, washed and went downstairs for breakfast. We then headed out the door to school. I quite enjoyed spending the day with Liam and his family, friends and his two dogs. I hope to go back sometime and have some more of that lovely  pizza.
