Day 3
~ Dear
Diary --:
On May 11th, I went home with Anthony Dunphy. He carried me
home in a cardboard box. I was peeping out all the time and could see all
the boys and girls going home from school. It was 3 o’clock Anthony's
house is not far from the school so we were home in about ten minutes.
When we got home Anthony remembered that he had an invitation to a
birthday party. He was going at 3.30 p.m. I had no invitation, but Anthony
tried to phone his friends to see if he could bring me along. We were out
of luck, as we could not get an answer on the phone.
So I stayed with his Mum and brother and sister. His sister Sarah
gave me lots of cuddles and kisses, to make up for my disappointment in
being left at home. Anthony did not want to go to the party on his own but
in the end he had no choice. I was a bit lonely for him when he was gone
but I was well looked after by the rest of his family. They were really
very nice to me and we had a great chat.
At 6.30 p.m.
Anthony came home. We were all delighted to see him. But guess what? Anthony
had to go swimming at 6.45 p.m. He is getting lessons in Splashworld.
So as I did not have my swimming togs I had to stay at home again.
I guess I will have to get a pair soon, as I cannot go swimming without
them. I watched the Simpson’s with his brother Patrick until Anthony
came home. Patrick is in fifth class. When he came home Anto brought me
out to watch him play hurling. Anto said, "Tuckamore would like you
to play hurling"? I did not know what he was talking about first but
Anthony soon showed me. He gave me a very small hurley. We had great fun. Hurling is like ice hockey but it is played
on grass and you can lift the ball as well. His Mum called us in for our
supper. We had Weetos, boy were they delicious. At 9 o’clock I went to
Antos room to play the Play Station. We played Streetfighter. Anto beat me
6 times.
At 9.30 his Mum said "lights out". I was tired after my
busy day so the minute my head hit the pillow I was fast asleep. I enjoyed
my visit to Antos house, even though I was a little sad to be left behind
twice in one day. I wonder whose house I will be going to next ?
I must try and get an invitation to a birthday party. I wonder ahat goes
on at one over here in Ireland. See you tomorrow.
