World
War or World Peace – the decision is entirely up to us! World War or World
Peace – the decision is entirely up to you who are reading or hearing
this statement right now. There are defining moments in everyone’s life and maybe
none as important as this one. I
desire, with all my heart World Peace and that is why I write this.
The miracle of World Peace does not need you to carry it through
but it DOES need YOU to initiate
it. How can you do this?
You finish reading this. You
sit quietly for a few moments and you ask yourself
“Do
I want peace or do I want war?” “Do
I want America, Nato etc. to drop one bomb, kill one man, woman or child
for ANY reason?” “Do I
want the Earth destroyed?” If your answer is “No” to the above questions then you have begun to initiate World Peace. It starts with the thought. Thought, like an invisible army gathers momentum with every person that thinks it and holds it in their minds. Thought is father to the deed. Give the thought of peace POWER. How? By SPEAKING the THOUGHT. By WRITING the THOUGHT. By SPREADING the THOUGHT. It is not true that you can do nothing in this situation. You can do everything that you can do. Write to the newspapers, magazines, politicians, governments. Put it on the Internet. Call the radio stations, your local representatives, your T.D., the Taoiseach, the Tanaiste, the President. Talk to your neighbours about the prospect of peace not the likelihood of war. If you think and talk about the likelihood of war you give it power and probability. You are in charge of the world right now through your thoughts. As we talk of war we prepare for war. Make your decision for peace. “HOW CAN WE DEAL
WITH TERRORISM? In the same way. Terrorism
is born when one person believes he or she is the victim of injustice.
No one in Ireland can dispute this fact.
It runs through our history to the present day.
I am not for one minute suggesting that injustice JUSTIFIES
terrorism of any kind anywhere but I am stating as a fact that injustice
EXPLAINS terrorism. “You
cannot know me until you have walked in my shoes”
That is what they are saying.
So how far and for how long do we want to walk in their shoes?
Is there any reason why we cannot sit down with them and LISTEN to
what they FEEL. Listen from
their point of view. See the
world as they see it. I hope
we will not be forced to live their lives of war, injustice, hatred,
despair and misery. Do you
want that experience for yourself and your children? This is our defining
moment. For our souls, for
our lives, for our children, for the world.
War or Peace? The
decision lies with us. Do not
look back from the future and say “I did nothing”.
