Cross Link eQSO <> EchoLink
The crosslink system used on the GB3DX repeater is a very easy to set up.
If you are on eQSO go to room GB3DX or if you are on EchoLink go to GB3DX Node number 62872 to see it working. This is just a test at the moment and seems to work very well.
The DTMF tones are disabled while the system is cross-linked so that stations on eQSO will be unable to move the GB3DX repeater onto any nodes on the EchoLink side.
Here is how it was done
To set up the crosslink simply using 2 computers. None of them complicated hard wired circuits to work out.
Set up your 1st computer to use the eQSO client software for your Repeater or Link. make a room to put you Repeater or Link in like " TEST "
Set up your 2nd computer running XP with a full duplex sound card as the crosslink computer by setting your audio settings in the recording section to enable the Stereo Mix. Use the eQSO client software for your Repeater or Link and make a room to put you Repeater of Link in like " TEST " it must be the same as Computer No.1 do not use the same callsign as you did on computer No.1. With the eQSO program running run the EchoLink program. Set the audio levels on both computers
The mix is done with the sound card in the 2nd computer that is running the client (eQSO Gateway) software and the EchoLink software which is running at the same time there is no radio connected to this computer at all.
The 1st computer that has the eQSO gateway software and the radio connected to it is put in the same eQSO room as the computer that has no radio connected to it (No2 Computer) .
That's it Simple really when you know.
