This is a Free courtesy tone system for Echolink, the system will send the required tone as the Transmit or receive event completes. The Morse code character used is only transmitted to the RF side of a line even if you have vox enabled.
Installing the software is easy, just click on the installer, as desktop icon is created for you. Click the Echo Tone icon if Echolink is not started Echo tone will start it for you.The user interface is easy to use. The only complex piece is that in multiple sound card systems be sure to select the sound card that Echolink is using. You can vary the tone, speed and volume of the desired characters. The send button allows you to set your volume level on the transmit side.
We are expecting some bugs in the software could you please provide feedback to g4lch@mac.com This includes feature requests.This release does not save your settings, the next release will. Also if the tone system fails to send the tone after a while then simply click the start button. We are also compiling a help file for the software.

Here is a new version
of EchoTone, this fixes the two bugs that we have i.e. no sound when
minimised
and the application not stopping correctly.
The users of the previous beta should deinstall the existing software and
re-install using this version.
