Download EchoTranslator
Windows XP Application No registration need Free to use
EchoTranslator is a
simple to use Windows XP utility (XP Only) that allows the EchoLink user to send via
the text box translated Language text. It has the ability to be
bidirectional so the person you are typing does not need to be running EchoTranslator. You send
text in your language and they see the text in there language
and when they type in there language you see the text in your language. This gives
you the ability to communicate with stations you could not do so before. The
program runs alongside EchoLink.
I put
together the
EchoTranslator program as I needed a way of Greeting Connected users to
my node who were unable to speak English and I am unable to speak any
other language.
The
Translations are not perfect but you can hold a text conversation with
no problem.
I have
no idea how it will work in other countries. I just hope it works as
well as it does here in Ireland.
Google
provides the Free online text language
translation which this program uses.
