Initial Setup
Download the software into
a directory unzip the software (1 file) and unzip and run. There is no installing the
software simply put the file anywhere and run it ( Mine is on the desktop )

- FTP Downloader

The FTP downloader is a small program that I have put together to
enable users of EchoProducer to download files from FTP sites.

You will need to know where your file is held on an FTP site.

The Amateur Radio NewsLine is one of the FTP sites and there news
file is held at ftp.arnewsline.org/quincy/News/News.mp3.
(Web site is
www.arnewsline.org )
- To get the News.mp3 file to
download it you need to enter the program fields thus:
- FTP Remote Address
= Enter the site address where you
file is held as an example "ftp.arnewsline.org"
- FTP Remote File Name =
Enter the file name and path to
the file on the FTP site, as an example "/quincy/News/News.mp3"
- You new need to give the file a
name and place to be put on your hard drive thus:
- Directory and file name =
Enter the Drive letter on your
computer and file name that you wish to save the file in, as
an example "C:\News1.mp3"
- You can click on the download
button next to your input fields to download now or :
- Scheduled Day and Time for FTP
Downloads = Simply tick the
day or days that you want you download to take place. Enter the time
that you wish the download should take place. The download where the
Use box is ticked
- Download FTP Data Countdown
timer = This is a countdown
counter where you can enter the amount of minutes between
downloads. The download where the Use box is ticked
- Play your news with EchoProducer
in the files section as per the instructions
- The next update to EchoProducer
will have this built in the program.
- Download Button
When the Download button is clicked the
program will collect the file from the FTP site and save it.
- FTP Remote Address
Enter the site address where you
file is held as an example "ftp.arnewsline.org"
FTP Remote File Name
Enter the the file name and path to the file
on the FTP site, as an example "/quincy/News/News.mp3"
Directory and file name
Enter the Drive letter on your computer and
file name that you wish to save the file in, as an example
"C:\News1.mp3"
Scheduled Day and Time for FTP Downloads
Simply tick the day
or days that you want you download to take place. Enter the time that you
wish the download should take place. The download where the Use box is
ticked
