Windows XP & TTS speech  Application   No registration need Free to use

 

TimedMessageTTS is a simple to use Windows XP utility that allows the Sysop/Owner of a Repeater or Link to send Information to their RF users. Club News, Repeater or link changes  or just general information. The Information can be read to the RF users any day of the week and any time. With the use of DTMF the user can call to hear the information as and when they want it. The program runs alongside EchoLink and uses the Microsoft Speech engine.
 
 
Initial Setup
 Download the TimedMessageTTS.zip software into a directory unzip the software (1 file) and run. There is no installing the software simply put the file anywhere and run it ( I use mine mine on the desktop )
 
I used NeoSpeech voices from http://www.nextup.com. I found Kate16 to be the best.
Check in your Control Panel for the speech Icon and that your Text to Speech is working first before running EchoTTS. I have not tried it on any of the other windows. If you have and it works let me know. Check out the Microsoft web site Microsoft Speech SDK 5.1 for more information.
 
3 Text Boxes
The Text boxes hold the contents of what you want your RF users to hear
 
Day & Time Periods
Simply tick the day or days that you want the text to be read out. The time periods can be entered for the text to be transmitted. The transmitted text will only be heard by your RF users
 
Info DTMF
Here you enter the DTMF code that you want your RF users to use to access the information as and when they want it.
 
Say Text with PTT
This button will enable you to sent the information to your RF users.
 
Say Text no PTT
This button will enable you to here the information through your head phones.
 
Clear
This button will clear the text box
 
 Save Changes
This button will save all your changes
 
Exit/Save Data
This button will save all your changes to any of the fields then exit the program.
