Community Art

Summer 2002

Step Stories I organized a traveling art project which entailed walking from Belfast to Baltimore in South Co. Cork over the summer months and creating large scale wall hangings with 6 rural groups along the way. This project was funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

Autumn 2001

Open Arts, Working with the psychiatric ward and out patients in City
Hospital to realize a public installation in the Botanic Gardens using
stained glass.
Draiocht Children's Festival, Working with a traveler children's group to design and realize a wood sculpture for the Colin Glen Forest Park.
Workshops in glass painting and ceramics.

Summer 2001

Open Arts, Woodcarving workshops with the visually impaired to create a permanent sculpture for the Cresent Arts center.
Pavee Point, Dublin. Glass painting with Roma gypsies.
Groundwork, Cross community project to realize 2 sculptural benches for youth groups in Ballymena.
Tollymore youth club. Mural for a large wall in the main hall of the building depicting past and present members,
and some of the activities.
Inisowen Carnival Group. Costume making with 2 schools in Inisowen for the annual Halloween Carnival
