When I paint, I like to start with an idea, and let the colours take me places. I like to think there are shapes and colors existing underneath what I see, and I can draw them out, if I listen. The first three paintings are from a series called Where To From Here? I used newspaper clippings in collage from the Autumn of 2001.

The last batch of paintings I done do be concerning themselves with the landscapes of the west of Ireland. Tracey and I walked from Belfast to the coast of Cork during the summer and this is the fruit of the journey.
