Girls Mini 7s

On the 22nd of March 2007 Girls and boys in 5th and 6th class went to CastleConor for the mini 7s . We had to leave at 9 ;30 in the morning  because we had to be down there for ten o’clock  for when the matches start.  We started our first match ( which was against Stokane)  at  10 ; 15 and before that we were taking shots on me (the goalie).

Our places were for starting off  Me (Christine) in goals and Aisling and Orla in goals then Aoife  and Aine in midfield and Laura Murphy and Megan in forwards. Then at the starting the other team was winning us by  5  - 2. So at half time Shelia Murphy took some players off and she put on Harley first and then we started playing again and we scored another point so that made it 5 -3 and the Sheila took Harley off and put on Holly for the last 2 -3 minutes and they scored another  5 but we scored  one goal and 2  points.  So that left it 7 all. It was a tie so we had to play another little match which was 5 minutes aside and in the first 5 minutes  we scored a goal and a point and then it was half time of that match so Sheila took off Aisling and put on Emma and in the last 5 minutes  Stokane  scored a point but the ref  blew the whistle and the game was over. Enniscrone won the semi - final so then we had to wait for Ratlee and Corballa to play and then the winner of that match would play us. So when that match ended we found out that Ratlee won so we would be playing Ratlee in the final but before we played our final the runners up had to play and the runners up were Stokane and Corballa so they played . Then the time came for Enniscrone to play Ratlee. The first 10 minutes  Ratlee was beating us by 1 .3 to 0 0 which was 1 goal and 3 points. So we tried playing  our very very very best to win. And they scored another 2 or 3 points  and Enniscrone scored 0 points so we got beat.   But at least we all had  great time and on the way back we went  to the shop some went to Londis  and others went into Spar. And the best thing was that we all got off  Homework and had a great day. We hope to play another match again soon.
