Environmental review

by Green School Committee.

A lot of 5th and 6th class students went litter picking.

Fruit Trees planted Cherry Plum apple and Pear trees planted in designated area as school orchard.

 Our plans to plant bulbs.

 Tree seeds collected and planted in Milk cartons

Healthy Lunches policy revised

Recycling for christmas discussion on all classes.

Shoe boxes filled with new and used toys by all children

All shoeboxes going to Mozambique this year.

Visited to the Seashore linked with An Post art and creative writing project.

Started using refillable ink cartridges for printers

Sent away used cartridges in aid of Multiple Sclerosis society

Grass cutting organised.

June ‘07

Energy Review and Assessment by Green School Committee.

 

We continued with our Green School Policy this year and as you can see we had a really busy year.

We hope to continue next year and apply to retain our Green school Flag Status. To kick off next years plan, we would ask you to cover your books with recycled paper.
