Our Basketball
Training
Organised by Mr. Kevin Moran from Ballina. In January for four
weeks, on Thursdays he came to us for
two hours.
Our basketball trainer is called Orlando Memendez from Peurtio Rico
Carribean who plays for the Merry Monk basketball team in Ballina. He also went
to a collage in California. The same collage as Michael Jordan. The activities
that he did with us was 1= loads of matches.. 2 = Knock out.. 3 =passing
4 = dribbling. And lots more
One Thursday we had to draw a basketball of what we thought it looked
like
and after that he drew his own picture of a
basketball court and compared it to all of ours.
We really enjoyed the
basketball it was great fun.
We would like to thank Orlando
and Mr. Moran for there time to teach us how to play basketball properly.
Soon we are having a league with Orlando and Mr.
Moran in Jesus and Mary Secondary School
.

Basketball Blitz
On the twenty first of march
fifth and sixth went to the basketball blitz n the convent with their trainer .His name is Orlando. In the blitz there were four teams: Miami
Heat, Lakers, Orlando Magic ,and KC . On
Miami heat, there was Laura M, Tom,
Megan, Leigh Anne and Trevor . On
Orlando Magic there was Αine, Aoife, Holly, Conor and Christine .
On KC there was Zak ,Ciara, Emma ,Gary and James. On Lakers there was
Cathal, Shane Harley, Orla and Marta.
Orlando Magic won - they had red
bibs on ,they all got medals . They were
very happy.
We had a great time and hope to see Orlando next year !!!
