Oisin ODowd, teddy sent to Holy Comforter School. He was donated by Saoirse and Named after Eoin	Sammy Seminole sent to us by our friend in Tallahassee He is the football helmet mascot of Florida State University which is the state university in Tallahassee.

Dear 3^rd/4^th class children,

Greetings from sunny Florida! The sixth graders are very excited to be participating in exchanging letters with your class. I teach three sixth grade classes and three seventh grade classes. So, I see one hundred and twenty five students each day. Since you have twenty seven children, two of my sixth grade classes are participating. For one of the classes, two students worked together in writing a response letter to one of your students. Please just have your students write one letter in reply to both of them. The students wanted to all participate and I didn't want to exclude them. In fact, the one class who didn't get to participate was disappointed and we are thrilled that Mr. Buw-s established another school the class can exchange correspondence with.

We received your letters at the end of January and quickly began working on them. Unfortunately, one of our students was involved in a tragic car accident. Her father was killed and she suffered severe head tnlUma. The prognosis did not look good and our school community pulled together in prayer. After having surgery and being in a medically induced coma for several days, she recognized every one is and is slowly recovering. In fact, she came home after two weeks and is in outpatient rehab. It is truly a miracle and living proof ofgod's love.

Also, in the past week we participated in a week of study that students get to pursue a career that they are interested in. I did not see my classes since we were involved in activities lmd field trips. I didn't kno~ if you wanted to have the students

send e-mail replies back instead of mailing them.

will have these students next year and many of them have expressed interest in continuing correspondence.

Included in this package is a sticker emblem of our school and a football helmet mascot of Florida State University which is the state university in our city. Many of the students are Florida State Seminole fans as I am too, since that is where I graduated college, Mr. Burns and Mr. Lynch came to our class and shared a lot of information about Ireland and showed the students where Enniscrone is located.
