- Cleaner Greener Production Programme (CGPP)
ENTRAC is part of a team, lead by the Clean Technology
Centre, which is managing the Cleaner Greener Production
Programme on behalf of the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA).
- ENIGMATIC Thematic Network under the Fifth Framework
Programme.
European Network on Integration of Clean Vehicles
Applying Technology Innovations.

- Windfarm development.
ENTRAC has been involved in all aspects of wind power
development: site and wind resource assessment; planning
and EIS; financing; construction of roads, bases and
electrical infrastructure; tower and turbine procurement;
and ongoing operation and maintenance. A 2MW windfarm was
commissioned in Mayo for Western Prospect in 2000.
- ERANTIS - Energy Efficient
Rural Transport Solutions.
THERMIE project to disseminate European experience,
especially that of Denmark, relating to energy efficient
rural transport including better co-ordination of
services, route planning systems and other initiatives.

- CHP evaluation in Ukraine under the TACIS programme.
Co-ordinators: Project Management Ltd. and PI Consult,
Finland.
- Alternative public transport for Sligo.
A feasibility study was carried out, under the ALTENER
programme, into future transport requirements for Sligo
and its environs. In particular, the study focused on
using small-scale hydro-electricity to charge an
innovative, pollution free, ultra light tram system.

Hotels for Sustainable Destinations, Maspalomas,
October 2000 and REBUILD, Barcelona, October
1999
- Monitoring of THERMIE transport targeted projects for the
European Commission.
Projects included ENTIRE, JUPITER-2 and ZEUS which were
large scale, multi million EURO, multi city projects
integrating advanced vehicle technologies, traffic
management systems, land use planning and other elements
to achieve cleaner, more efficient transport systems.
- Urban Buses with Hybrid Drive Systems.
This study was published by the European Commission,
under the THERMIE programme, and also contributed case
studies to the ELTIS database. Paper Hybrid Vehicle Development in Europe
was presented at UITP International Congress,
Toronto, May 1999 and REBUILD, Florence, April
1998.
Co-ordinator: UITP (International Union of Public
Transport).
- Technical assistance to the OPET Network (Organisations
for the Promotion of Energy Technologies).
Studies carried out by ENTRAC for the Network of over 50
bodies included an overview of mobility management
initiatives in Europe and an examination of the
application of ISO 14001 in transport operations.

- Analysis of the Structures Developed in THERMIE Targeted
Projects in Buildings and Transport for the European
Commission.
